Marina Zuccarelli was born and raised in Italy. She attained her master’s degree in economics she has worked for more than 12 years for corporates in countries like Italy, Belgium and Switzerland. At the same time she has been practising photography and she has also participated in collective shows in Belgium and Switzerland. In 2012, she moved to Singapore, where she completed a Master in Art and Cultural Management at LASALLE, College of the Arts, in collaboration with Goldsmiths, University of London and she is now enrolled in a PhD program in photography at the School of Art Design and Media of Nanyang Technological University.
Her works are focused mainly on the exploration of memories. She often integrates her images, mostly taken with a medium format analogue camera, with text.
She strongly believes in the potential of photography as a tool for self-expression and personal development. Therefore she is engaged in introducing the practice of photography in healthcare context and organizes and gives workshops of photography to cancer patients, at the National Cancer Centre in Singapore
She exposed in Singapore in March 2016 in a duo show at Objectives Centre for Film and Photography and in June 2017 Genoa, Italy in a solo show at Studio Archimia.
